A bye week in the middle of the season is the best case scenario here, as last season the Patriots’ bye week was Week 4, which is way too early.

This will give players time to rest and also recoup at the mid-season mark, and they will need to for their next game. The Patriots have been known to start gradually slow and then get better as the season goes on.

For the second half, it is crucial that happens.
