2. Bryan Stork vs. David Andrews

This could very well be the most heated battle of training camp, although it is ranked at No. 2 because of the stakes of playing quarterback. You have to remember that Stork captained Florida State to a national title in 2013 and then led the Patriots to Super Bowl XLIX glory as the starting center; winning is in Stork’s blood. And don’t be surprised if Stork throws his fists around in the heat of competition this summer; he was ejected from a minicamp practice this offseason after a tussle with Woodrow Hamilton.

Meanwhile, Andrews ended up being one of the best rookie stories for the Patriots last season, stepping into the starting center role while Stork was on the PUP list and playing like a seasoned veteran. Andrews eventually yielded to Stork when No. 66 returned, but the fact remains that Andrew is an above-average NFL starting center.

The Patriots are fortunate to have an embarrassment of riches at such a crucial position.
