7. Woodrow Hamilton

2015 story: Hamilton started all 12 games he appeared in with Ole Miss last season. In that action, he recorded 30 tackles and a sack. Hamilton was the only Ole Miss product signed as an undrafted free agent by the Pats this offseason; former high school rival and Ole Miss teammate C.J. Johnson joins Hamilton as fellow longshots to make the roster.

Why he’s ranked at No. 7: Hamilton gets pegged above Vellano because he showed some grit when he fought Bryan Stork during an OTA session this offseason. That kind of fight is going to help Hamilton stand out in the heat of battle later this month and into August. But Hamilton has six players ahead of him on the depth chart.

Here is something remarkable about the career of Tom Brady

Main training camp competitor(s): First and foremost, Vellano and Anthony Johnson. Realistically, Hamilton is vying for a spot on the practice squad.

Chances of making team: 1/10. Slim. But maybe the practice squad.

Next: 6. Anthony Johnson
