New England Patriots Have Best Fans In NFL
By Cyrus Geller
According to a recent study, the New England Patriots have the best fans in the NFL…
Duh?
I mean, come on now. This is the most obvious thing in the world. Not only are the Patriots the greatest sports organization of all time, but their fans are also better than any other fan in anything else in history.
(I’m super fair and objective by the way.)
"The findings were compiled by Emory University professor Michael Lewis, who compiled 15 years of attendance data and four years of social data using a method called Dynamic Fan Equity (DFE):The DFE measure leverages the best features of the two measures. Fan Equity is based on the most important consumer trait – willingness to spend. Social Equity captures fan support that occurs beyond the walls of the stadium and skews towards a younger demographic.Dynamic Fan Equity is calculated using current fan equity and the trend in fan equity from the team’s social media performance."
I don’t know about all that, but this is how I see it: who is the most hated fanbase (and team) in sports?
It’s the Patriots, and it isn’t even close.
The arrogance and cockiness that we display on a daily basis is reason enough to make us the best fans in the NFL. Our dedication to our team, and our dedication to letting everyone else know how good they are is unparalleled in the league, and that has to go a long way towards deciding the best fans in the NFL.
Does this mean we are the nicest fans? Absolutely not. The most correct? Mostly no. And we definitely do not have the cleanest mouths in the world. But when it comes to our dedication and love for our team, you’d be hard pressed to find another fanbase close to us.
(Again, can’t stress enough how unbiased and objective I am…)
