WIDE RECEIVER (5)

Julian Edelman

Danny Amendola

Chris Hogan

Nate Washington

Malcolm Mitchell

Practice squad: Devin Lucien

Cut: Aaron Dobson, Keshawn Martin, Chris Harper, DeAndre Carter

This summer will spell the end of Dobson’s time in New England after three largely disappointing, injury-riddled seasons. There just isn’t enough room on this depth chart for Dobson to last past finals cuts. And even though he helped out while Edelman and Amendola were hurt last year, Martin gets the chop.

Free agent signings Hogan and Washington will make the team. If the $7.5 million of guaranteed money the Patriots handed Hogan says anything, it’s that the Pats are serious about including Hogan into their aerial attack plans in the foreseeable future. And although he was signed to quite clearly a roster bubble contract, Washington squeaks onto the final roster as a result of his excellent route running and being where Brady expects him to be.

These 30 players will definitely make the final roster

Last but not least, Mitchell finds himself on the Week 1 roster after a training camp chock-full of Troy Brown comparisons.
