3. Cre’von LeBlanc

Again, here’s a first name that no one has run across in their lives in all likelihood. That there is an apostrophe right down the middle of LeBlanc’s first name scores points. It’s just a catchy name overall. A real cornerback name, especially for a guy with dreads.

Forecasting Cre’von LeBlanc in 2016

Standing at 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, LeBlanc is the most solidly built and tallest of the Patriots’ rookie corners (including Cyrus Jones) but ran a 4.65-second 40-yard dash that killed any chance of him getting drafted. Recently, we placed LeBlanc in the cellar of the Patriots’ cornerback depth chart because of the speed concerns and lack of special teams potential.

AFC Power Rankings: Pats top post-draft edition

As a senior at Florida Atlantic, LeBlanc stood out by posting four picks, 11 passes defended and 43 tackles. He’s a physical corner and will need to showcase that bulk in training camp to have any hope of cracking even the practice squad.
