8. Woodrow Hamilton

The only other time I’ve heard the first name “Woodrow” was back in fifth grade history class when Woodrow Wilson’s presidency was the subject of discussion. It’s safe to say that this Woodrow is better at defending the run than the 28th president of the United States.

A starter in 25 of 47 career games at Ole Miss, Hamilton 83 tackles, three sacks and one pass defensed over his college years. As a senior, Hamilton started all 12 games and recorded 29 tackles and a sack.

Hamilton isn’t the only Ole Miss product to join the Patriots as an undrafted free agent this offseason. Fellow defensive line mate C.J. Johnson (who also plays linebacker) signed with the Patriots earlier this month.
