Near-roster locks

James White – In the event that D.J. Foster forces his way onto the final roster, it will be White who gets left out of the running back group. Other than that, White should make the team.

Duron Harmon – Although he’s a good centerfielder when filling-in for McCourty in garbage time of games, Harmon struggled when McCourty missed a few games due to injury and there’s potential for him to be cut.

Malcolm Butler will lead NFL in interceptions

Shea McClellin – There’s a crowd of roster hopefuls at linebacker after Hightower and Collins, and McClellin leads the pack.

Malcolm Mitchell – It’s hard to see the Pats cutting their fourth round pick, but with all the veterans and returners trying out at wide receiver you can’t count on Mitchell making the team quite yet.
