10. Brandon Bolden

Bolden may not be the best ball carrier in the NFL, but he is one of the more valued players on the Patriots’ roster because of his special teams contributions. A wily veteran, Bolden also provides depth in the backfield and is fully capable of catching passes, too.

9. Dion Lewis

The darling of training camp and the first half of the regular season last year, Lewis was too exciting of a revelation in the Patriots’ offense to cut, even after the torn ACL.

8. Patrick Chung

Over the past two seasons since re-joining the Patriots after an ill-advised 2013 stint with the Philadelphia Eagles, Chung has been one of the more efficient safeties in the NFL thanks to improved performance in coverage.

7. Nate Solder

The Patriots’ franchise left tackle can rely on a roster spot in 2016.

6. Sebastian Vollmer

The Patriots’ franchise right tackle can also rely on making the team in 2016, although age (he turns 32 in July) is starting to catch up to Vollmer.
