25. Malcolm Butler

The best corner on the Patriots and a top ten cornerback in the entire league, Butler is about to enter a contract year, and not just any contract year. Butler has the potential for a HUGE pay day after the 2016 season. Hopefully, it will be the Patriots handing him the big check.

24. Devin McCourty

The latest McCourty news was his placement into the Rutgers Hall of Distinguished Alumni. The Patriots’ recipient for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award cracks the top ten of free safeties.

23. Jabaal Sheard

Yes, the Patriots are probably going to use a rotation of Sheard, Rob Ninkovich and Chris Long at the defensive end spots, but you have to think that Sheard is the best pass rusher out of that trio. Consider Sheard the early frontrunner for Patriots’ sack champion in 2016.

22. Dont’a Hightower

A bruiser of a linebacker who will forever be remembered in New England for his tackle of Marshawn Lynch just before the goal line in Super Bowl XLIX, Hightower is the AFC’s Luke Kuechly.

21. Ryan Allen

Allen owns the Super Bowl record for longest punt, a 64-yard missile against the Seahawks. He’s got a booming kick, that’s for sure, and seeing as how the Patriots didn’t tack on an undrafted punter this month, it’s safe to say Allen is a roster lock.
