Ranking The Top 10 Players On The New England Patriots

3. WR Julian Edelman
Is there a more disrespected player in the NFL than Julian Edelman?
Just because he isn’t a traditional number one receiver (big, strong, fast, black) doesn’t mean he isn’t just as good as those traditional number ones. In fact, when it comes down to who is the toughest wideout in the league to guard 1-on-1, I think Edelman may be the toughest. His quickness and precise route-running are only rivaled by Pittsburgh’s Antonio Brown, who is universally described as a top two receiver in the world.
What Edelman did in New England’s 2014-15 Super Bowl run will never be forgotten, and it was during that run that made me realize we have a legit number one receiver on this. If you don’t think so, try finding five wideouts in the league who can get open as well as Jules can, and I will rescind my claim.
