4. V’Angelo Bentley

As we noted in our forecast of Bentley for this summer, the Illinois product stands a hair under 5-foot-10 and thus his only chance to make the roster is at slot corner and/or special teams. Since Bentley has displayed excellent special teams ability in college (especially as a return man), he gets pegged above LeBlanc.

Our friends over at Pats Pulpit commented on Bentley’s special teams ability not too long ago:

"The 22-year old finished the season with a combined 743 return yards (505 on kickoffs, 238 on punts) and was named honorable All-Big Ten mention after the season. Bentley finished in the conference’s top ten in both kickoff return average (22.0 yards/return; ninth) and punt return average (9.2 yards/returns; sixth)."

You’ll see in the next slide why Bentley is ranked below Jonathan Jones, but we have to remember that it’s only May. There is still plenty of time for Bentley to differentiate himself from his undrafted counterparts and be the Malcolm Butler of 2016.
