Every year there seems to be a surprise cut before the season. Players like Kyle Arrington, Tommy Kelly, Dominique Easley and Lawyer Milloy have all been given their walking papers seemingly out of nowhere. Do you think we will see any more surprise cuts before the beginning of the season, and if so, who?

Andre Menice – I think Easley will end up being the lone surprise cut this season but if Bennett comes in unmotivated and cannot pick up the playbook, he might get cut which is the equivalent to the kiss of death on his career…. See Chad Johnson or Ochocinco and Albert Haynesworth.

Kirk von Kreisler – I think we’re likely out of the woods with any major cuts after the surprising Easley release, but if there’s anybody who is on the bubble that is moderately surprising to me, it’s James White. As seen following Dion Lewis’ season-ending injury last season, White has become a threat out of the backfield, totaling 40 receptions last season. However, competition is tight in the backfield with LeGarrette Blount and Lewis as the lead backs, Brandon Bolden offering a presence in special teams, and newly signed Donald Brown competing for White’s spot. As much as I’d like to give White more time to grow, we may see him gone come August.

Connor Fulton – Josh Kline is in danger of falling into this category. Kline was actually one of the few bright spots on the Patriots’ offensive line as the injury-ravaged season wore on, but the Pats loaded up on guard talent over the offseason. Veteran Jonathan Cooper and draft picks Joe Thuney and Ted Karras look as pro-ready as they come, and don’t forget about sophomore pros Tre’ Jackson and Shaq Mason. Kline could be the odd man out at guard.
