43. Houston – Sebastian Vollmer, Elandon Roberts

At age 31, Vollmer is on the downswing of his career and the Patriots will need to replace him sooner rather than later. Over the weekend, we forecasted Roberts’ future with the Patriots.

42. Illinois – Ted Karras, V’Angelo Bentley

Karras has a decent chance of holding onto to a roster spot, simply because the Patriots intend to fortify the offensive line with depth after last year’s injury bug. Bentley rivals fellow undrafted rookie corner LeBlanc for best name on the roster.

41. Kent State – Julian Edelman, Josh Kline

Last week, my co-editor Cyrus Geller railed against NFL players voting Edelman the No. 87 overall best player in the league. Kline had better watch his back with 2016 draft picks Joe Thuney and Karras coming up through the ranks at guard.

40. Louisiana Tech – Ryan Allen

Top-five punter in the game.
