52. Colorado – Nate Solder

Before getting injured in Week 6, Solder had missed just one game (and one start) in four seasons. It will be nice to have him back protecting Brady’s blindside.

51. Connecticut – Donald Brown

The Patriots’ avoidance of a running back in the draft bodes well for Brown’s chances of rebooting his career in New England.

50. Eastern Carolina – Bryce Williams

Williams will try to become the third 6-foot-6 tight end on the Patriots’ roster behind Gronk and Bennett.

49. Eastern Illinois – Jimmy Garoppolo, Kamu Grugier-Hill

Four games ought to be enough of a sample size for us to get a grip on what kind of quarterback Garoppolo is. As for Grugier-Hill, the recent sheddings of veteran linebackers Jon Bostic and Tony Steward increase his chances of lasting through training camp.

48. Florida Atlantic – Cre’Von LeBlanc

Another 5-foot-9 undrafted rookie corner, LeBlanc had better show the Patriots something in the slot or he will be a victim of the first round of cuts. At least he has the coolest name on the team right now.
