5. Vanderbilt – Steven Scheu

Buried beneath Derby, Harbor and Williams (as well as fellow undrafted signing Bryce Williams) on the tight end depth chart after roster locks Gronk and Bennett, Scheu probably won’t last through the first round of cuts.

4. Virginia – Chris Long

Having recorded just four sacks in the last two seasons, Long will look to flirt with double digits once again in 2016.

3. West Alabama – Malcolm Butler

The most confident defensive back the Patriots have had on their roster since Aqib Talib.

2. Western Michigan – E.J. Biggers

This writer sees Biggers squeaking onto the team and making contributions as a slot corner. Biggers had an excellent season pulling that duty in 2015 with the Eagles.

1. Wisconsin – James White

Although maybe not as electric as Lewis, White is a shifty and difficult open-field runner to bring down in his own right. The Patriots are fortunate to have multiple backs who can fill that pass-catching role.
