1. Bill Belichick speaking to Lacrosse Magazine

Being a former lacrosse player, this writer was interested to hear about Belichick chatting with Lacrosse Magazine. As some of you may know, Belichick loves lacrosse.

A few tidbits from the video:

  • Belichick thinks Tom Brady would best be suited as a goalie for the simple fact that he just isn’t very good. Belichick actually said Brady “can’t run” and “can’t dodge” (for those of you who don’t know much about lacrosse, dodging is when an offensive player takes a defensemen one-on-one to create separation and either pass or shoot… it requires quickness, something Brady does not have).
  • Belichick says it’s important for student-athletes to grow up playing multiple sports. Certainly, there are overlaps between lacrosse and football. When Belichick signed former Penn State lacrosse player Chris Hogan during free agency, this was his line of thinking.
  • Belichick also elaborated on his personal experience with the fast-growing game.
