4. Danny Amendola restructured his contract

Patriots fans have reason to rejoice: Amendola restructured his contract to stay in New England for the next two years. Before the deal went down, there were doubts surrounding Amendola’s future with the Patriots because he was about to become the highest-paid receiver on the roster. It’s refreshing to see a proven veteran like Amendola take less money to increase his chances of winning the ultimate prize.

Bill Belichick once said that “nobody works harder or practices harder” than Amendola; it’s a relief to know that kind of work ethic will be influencing the Patriots’ locker room for another few years. Amendola is a pro’s pro, a real respectable guy who has certainly won over the hearts of Patriots fans after taking a team-friendly contract once again.
