In case you haven’t heard, the New England Patriots do not have a selection in the first round of the 2016. However, there are still reasons for Patriots fans to keep an eye on the Day 1 action.

The following slides will include selections from the NFL Nation reporters’ mock draft, as well as insights from local FanSided sites around the league.

No. 6 – Baltimore Ravens

Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley has the purple birds picking offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil with the sixth pick of the 2016 NFL Draft:

"The Ravens need to find a long-term answer at left tackle because Eugene Monroehas proved to be unreliable and Joe Flacco is coming off a season-ending knee injury. So, it’s fitting that 20 years after drafting Jonathan Ogden, Baltimore finally finds his replacement, ending the revolving door at seven starting left tackles in the past eight years."

Meanwhile, Chris Schisler and Hassan Zakai of Ebony Bird want the Ravens to leap on a cornerback. Schisler is keen on Jalen Ramsey and Zakai is interested in Vernon Hargreaves III.

It’s quite possible that Ezekiel Elliot will be on the board at No. 6; Schisler weighs the pros and cons of the Ravens selecting Elliot.

The Ravens always give the Pats trouble, so be mindful of who they select in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
