“Those pesky Jets.” – majority of New England Patriots fans

Last season, the New York Jets finished above .500 for the first time since 2010, when the team finished 11-5. Ultimately, they could’ve made the playoffs last season had they not lost to the Buffalo Bills.

After losing RB Chris Ivory in free agency, the Jets landed former Chicago Bears’ swiss army RB Matt Forte and former New Orleans Saints’ RB Khiry Robinson to add to an already formidable offense with arguably the best WR duo in the league.

The Jets defense, although aging, is still strong and has one of the best DLs in the league. With the additions of LB Bruce Carter and NT Steve McLendon, it should continue to be dominant.

Believe it or not, the New York Jets are playoff contenders – with a decent QB that is.

Free agent Ryan Fitzpatrick, the Jets, and talks of a contract seem to be relatively quiet at the moment, but if the Fitzpatrick does in fact resign with the team, the Jets should be considered a lock as a wild card team.
