4. Avenging loss of first round picks

In case you have been living under a rock for the past 15 months, Patriots fans are not happy about the loss of a first round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Just recently, a group of Patriots fans sued the NFL over the debacle, but it’s not going to change anything.

2016 NFL Draft: 6 RBs Pats should mull over

View the absence of a first round pick less as a cause for complaining and more as a rallying point for the Patriots. Mark these words: Bill Belichick and his colleagues in the draft room will work with the cards that are dealt to them and will navigate through the 2016 NFL Draft perfectly fine.

After all, the Patriots aren’t in all that strange of territory not having a first round pick this spring. They were in the same situation three years ago, and they responded by selecting Jamie Collins in the second round. An argument could be made that Collins has panned out better than any other Patriots’ draft pick since 2013.

Don’t forget about Darryl Roberts

Don’t be overly concerned about the Patriots having to wait until the second round to make their first noise in the 2016 NFL Draft. Revenge is on their mind.
