Patriots: Reordering wide receiver depth chart after Nate Washington signing
6. Aaron Dobson
Look, when Dobson went in the second round to the Patriots back in 2013, this writer was ecstatic. Dobson made a ton of jaw-dropping catches during his Marshall days, and he had the look of the next Randy Moss in New England.
As you well know, things haven’t panned out all that well for Dobson. His topsy-turvy rookie campaign of 37 receptions, 519 yards and four touchdowns have been followed by a pair of injury-plagued seasons; Dobson combined for 16 receptions, 179 yards and no touchdowns in 12 games between the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

However, Dobson showed promise in Week 2 against the Bills, snagging seven passes for 87 yards, his most productive effort in two years. But alas, a high ankle sprain ended Dobson’s 2015 season early.
Looking forward, you have to think this is Dobson’s last shot in New England. Who knows, maybe 2016 will be the year it all comes together for Dobson.
