2. NFL aims to play in China by 2018 – will Patriots go?

At the league meetings yesterday, the topic of playing in China came up, as early as the 2018 season. Could the Patriots be one of the first teams to play in the Asian continent?

Look, the NFL is working hard to expand into the global market. That much has been evident through the forcing down of football into the Brits’ throats in the past decade. The next frontier is China, apparently.

The Patriots wear red, white and blue, so from an aesthetics perspective, they represent the American game better than any other team in the NFL. The NFL may not like the Patriots, but the team is a great ambassador of the game. Plus, playing in China sounds like something right up Robert Kraft’s alley.

It’s food for thought, at least.
