Here’s another option for the Patriots at wideout as free agency continues. The Patriots could simply swap one LSU product for another by replacing LaFell with Randle.

Randle appeared in our Patriots free agency targets under 25 piece a few weeks back:

"Randle still offers plenty of upside with his athleticism and decent track record through four NFL seasons. He comes from the LSU pipeline of solid pro wideouts, one of the best collegiate programs in the country when it comes to grooming top-notch pass catchers. The Giants expected a lot out of Randle, maybe too much. Although he didn’t emerge as the lethal outside threat the G-Men wanted him to be, Randle still caught 128 passes for 1,735 yards and 11 touchdowns over the past two seasons. Not too shabby."

Giants fans may laugh at the thought of the Patriots being interested in Randle, but remember: Brady has the uncanny ability to improve the talent around him. Throughout his career, he’s salvaged wideouts like David Patten and Wes Welker who struggled elsewhere.
