3. Brandon King tendered

Coleman wasn’t the only undrafted 2015 rookie who received good news on Monday. Auburn product and special teams standout King will be around for at least another season.

King was cut at the tail end of Patriots training camp, but they quickly signed him back to their practice squad. When Bradley Fletcher was released, King got the call and never relinquished his status on the active roster.

King is the ideal Bill Belichick player because he is the embodiment of versatile having played safety, linebacker and even defensive end in college. Since joining the Patriots, King has groomed a role on special teams that he should have no trouble retaining for years to come.

It’s good to see him back.
