2. Super Bowl XLIX

LaFell’s second-best performance with the Patriots occurred on the biggest stage in one of the best football games ever played: Super Bowl XLIX.

At first glance, LaFell’s stat line of four catches for 29 yards and a score doesn’t seem all that great. But when you take into account that his touchdown opened the scoring in Super Bowl XLIX, you will realize just how important LaFell’s contributions were.

It got the Patriots off on the right foot, simply put. Scoring the opening touchdown in the Super Bowl goes a long way toward winning the whole thing, so Patriots fans should always be grateful for LaFell coming through in the red zone there.
