Two weeks later, LaFell exploded against the Buffalo Bills for 97 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills. It was his fourth-best game as a Patriot.

Both of the scores occurred in the fourth quarter and served to keep the feisty Bills at bay in a divisional game that was closer than the 37-22 score suggests. Midway through the fourth quarter, LaFell was on the receiving end of an 18-yard pass from Brady, which pushed the Patriots’ lead at the time to 30-14. After a Chris Hogan touchdown the other way, LaFell responded by nabbing a 56-yard touchdown pass in the final three minutes, giving the Patriots a comfortable 15-point cushion.
This game is also remembered as the last time Stevan Ridley took a handoff for the Patriots, as he tore his ACL on this day. In addition, this was the game in which Brian Tyms snagged a 43-yard touchdown pass; Tyms tweeted his goodbye to the Patriots yesterday.
