Here is yet another cornerback who the Patriots would elect to sign if they could snag any one of the Rams’ free agents. Jenkins is reminiscent of former Patriots’ corner Asante Samuel with his ball-hawking talent, as evidenced by five pick-sixes and ten total interceptions in four seasons.

The Patriots haven’t had a true ball-hawking cornerback in quite some time (no, Logan Ryan’s four easy-peasey interceptions in 2015 don’t make him a ball-hawk), so that’s the source of Jenkins’ intrigue. It’s doubtful that this marriage happens because Jenkins brings along baggage that Bill Belichick would probably rather do without, however.
