2016 Pro Bowl: 6 Reasons why you shouldn’t watch
3. The Pro Bowl draft
Somehow, the NFL managed to make a laughingstock of an event into even more of a joke when they introduced the Pro Bowl draft. Some intern over at the NFL office probably came up with the bright idea to have two Hall of Famers draft the Pro Bowl rosters every year instead of just sticking with the battle lines naturally provided by the conference structure of the NFL.

I actually had an ounce of respect for the Pro Bowl before the likes of Michael Irvin, Deion Sanders and Jerry Rice started drafting players because it created a sense of unity in each conference. After a season of fighting for divisional leads and Wild Card spots, players in the same conference came together for a week of lazy practice and a haphazard football game, getting a chance to talk about their encounters in the regular season.
But now that the AFC and NFC are mixed, that sense of conference unity is completely out the window. The NFL actually succeeding in destroying the one good part of the Pro Bowl. Way to go, guys.
