6. Shawn Oakman – DE, Baylor

We start with a freak of nature, Baylor defensive end Shawn Oakman. He’s been listed as tall as 6-foot-9 and weighs in at around 270 pounds. Oakman possesses a variety of pass rushing moves, often catching his blocker off guard with a surprisingly strong bull rush.

4 Frustrations from AFC Championship loss

Just imagine Oakman in New England. He would certainly be an intriguing option as the No. 4 defensive end after Chandler Jones, Jabaal Sheard and Rob Ninkovich. Considering the sheer number of pass rushing threats the Patriots have accumulated in recent years, Oakman would have opportunities in favorable matchups.

It’s too early to tell where Oakman will fall, but the Patriots may be tempted to nab him with their first pick of the draft (which isn’t in the first round due to Deflategate).
