5. Broncos will hold Gronk in check

If there’s anyone who can slow down Gronk, it’s the league’s No. 1 overall defense. Leading the charge for the Broncos will be Darian Stewart. You may remember him as the man who delivered the scary blow on Gronk’s knee in Week 12, a play which silenced everyone with stake invested in the Patriots from Tom Brady to you and me.

Looking back at Gronk’s 6 career games vs. Broncos

Chris Harris Jr. will also factor into the Broncos’ great defense of Gronk. Here’s what Harris said about tackling Gronk earlier this week:

You gotta hit him low, man — hit him in his knees. That’s the best chance you have of hitting him. You gotta take his legs out or hold on and wait for everybody, wait for the gang to come on and gang tackle him.

It’s not like Gronk will be completely shut down in this game, but the Broncos will keep him out of the end zone and limit him to under 50 yards. Other receivers will factor into this game for the Pats, as you will read about later in this article.
