In what was Gronk’s quietest career game against the Broncos, the Patriots received contributions from a number of other sources to secure the victory.

Wes Welker put forth one of the best efforts of his last season in New England, accumulating 104 yards and a touchdown on 13 receptions. Stevan Ridley, Danny Woodhead and Brandon Bolden combined for 252 yards and two touchdowns on 49 rushes, decreasing the need for Gronk’s big mitts in the aerial attack.

The Patriots raced out to a 31-7 lead in the third quarter. Although they let their foot off the gas a bit, they still won by double digits.
