Here we are. This afternoon, the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs will get the Divisional Round slate of games started at around 4:30 P.M. ET. Here are a few final thoughts to help work out those pregame jitters.

4. A week of distractions for the Patriots… although they won’t tell you it was distracting.

First, it was the unfolding and initially ill-reported situation involving Chandler Jones and synthetic marijuana. Then, Bill Belichick showed up to a press conference with a black eye. As the week has progressed, the attention has turned to Rob Gronkowski, who received hospital treatment for his bunged-up right knee.

But Devin McCourty served as the team’s spokesman to the media on Thursday, imploring that these distractions aren’t affecting the Patriots as they prepare for Kansas City. He gave the following three answers to distractions-related questions:
