2. Chiefs won’t score a touchdown

Mark these words: the Chiefs will not reach the end zone in this game. That’s not to say this will be a blowout for the Pats by any means, as Cairo Santos will nearly win this game for the Chiefs with his right foot alone.

Thanks to a strong backfield committee of Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware and first down receptions by Kelce, the Chiefs will sustain several long drives in this game. However, Matt Patricia’s defense will certainly bend, but it won’t break. As a result of the Patriots locking down in their own half, the Chiefs will never cross the goal line.

Remember, Alex Smith went all of 2014 without throwing a touchdown to a wide receiver. Without the player who was instrumental in changing that, Maclin, the entire Chiefs’ offense will be a step slower than usual. Kelce will have a big game, yes, and West and Ware are fully capable of catching passes as well, but no player wearing a red helmet will score.

For much of the game, it will look like Santos’ field goals might just be enough for the Chiefs to squeak by, but a big fourth quarter performance from someone will push the Patriots to victory…
