In what many Patriots fans believe to be the best playoff game in franchise history, Brady played just good enough to squeak by the Raiders. Patriots fans think back fondly on the Snow Bowl; Raiders fans bitterly view it as the Tuck Rule game.

Brady completed 32 of 52 passes for 312 yards and an interception, failing to throw a touchdown. David Patten was his favorite target on the day, snagging eight of Brady’s 32 completions for 107 yards. On the day, Brady compiled a quarterback rating of 70.4, his second-worst rating of the 11 Divisional Round games.

Tom Brady’s career history against the Chiefs

Staring down a 13-3 deficit at the beginning of the fourth quarter, Brady decided that it was a good time to start growing his legend. He drove the Patriots down the field before rushing for a touchdown from six yards out. It was the first of many emphatic Brady spikes in the playoffs.

One more drive down the field in regulation set up Adam Vinatieri in position for the field goal of a lifetime, a 45-yarder in snowy conditions to tie the game and force overtime.

In overtime, Vinatieri further grew his legend in New England, booting through a 23-yarder to win it.
