5. Steven Jackson will rush for 100 yards, touchdown

What makes this a bold prediction, besides the fact that Jackson is no longer a spring chicken at 32 years old, is the Patriots’ lack of potency on the ground this year. The Pats rank a sleepy 28th in the league averaging just 3.7 yards per carry, so any and all success they have running the ball this week will be welcomed.

6 reasons to be excited for Week 17

Well, Jackson will prove his worth in his second game as a Patriot by ripping off 100 yards and a touchdown on the Dolphins. Miami allows 4.1 yards per carry, so it’s not unreasonable to say that Jackson will experience some success in this game.

As for Jackson, he will have vengeance on his mind Sunday afternoon. In three career games against the Dolphins, he has yet to emerge victorious, or even reach the end zone for that matter. He’s managed to post 174 yards on 39 carries in those games, but not touchdown and no win. Both of those wrongs will get righted for the veteran in Week 17.
