NFL Week 16 Picks: Patriots Clinch Home Field
By Cyrus Geller
Here are my NFL week 16 picks:
Redskins 23 Eagles 20
The NFC East stinks. It’s really a pity the NFL subjects us to so many primetime games of theirs. But I’m rolling with Kirk Cousins and the Skins to punch their ticket to the postseason.
Top 10 QBs in Patriots history
Patriots 20 Jets 16
It’s going to be a low-scoring brawl, especially since the Patriots will be without Julian Edelman and possibly Danny Amendola on offense. It will be interesting to see how Bill Belichick handles the Pats injury situation in this game, as the team is still dealing with a multitude of injuries. However they still need one more win to clinch home field, and they will get a battle in New York.
Texans 16 Titans 13
This will be an ugly one, but I’m giving the Texans the edge just because the Titans are a pathetic excuse of a football team. Houston to the playoffs? It’s getting more likely.
Chiefs 27 Browns 16
Kansas City keeps rolling.
Colts 23 Dolphins 17
The Colts need a win to stay alive in the playoff chase, and while they suck, they are lucky they face a team that sucks even more this week.
5 Ripple effects of Steven Jackson signing
Lions 24 Niners 14
Meaningless game, Niners just won’t be able to score enough against Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson.
Bills 31 Cowboys 17
Kellen Moore showed a little bit of that “it” factor the Cowboys have been wanting, but this team has given up. Bills will roll.
Buccaneers 27 Bears 23
Jameis Winston has been impressive in his rookie season, and while I don’t think he will turn into an All-Pro anytime soon, he is a capable NFL starter. The future in Tampa Bay is bright.
Panthers 22 Falcons 10
16-0 is happening.
Steelers 34 Ravens 20
When this Steelers passing attack gets rolling, there isn’t a more explosive offense in football. The Ravens won’t be able to keep up.
Saints 30 Jaguars 20
Bleh.
Seahawks 28 Rams 17
I’ll tell ya this much, I wouldn’t want to see the Seahawks in the playoffs if I were the Panthers or Cardinals. This team is very dangerous right now.
Cardinals 27 Packers 24
If the Panthers win earlier in the day, they clinch the number one seed in the NFC, but the Cardinals still have to beat the Packers to clinch a first round bye. I think they get it done.
Vikings 27 Giants 13
No Odell Beckham will be very problematic for the Giants, as he is their entire offense. Minnesota continues on to the playoffs.

Broncos 17 Bengals 13
Two good defensive teams battling it out, but in that atmosphere (which I have experienced first hand), AJ McCarron is not doing much against that Denver defense.
