Patriots vs. Texans: 6 Bold Predictions

2. Ryan Griffin will continue TD streak
Londonderry, N.H. native Ryan Griffin, who grew up a Patriots fan, will record his third touchdown reception in as many weeks. The little-used tight end has been seeing an increased role in the Texans offense as of late, and he will keep up the good work on Sunday night.
The Patriots actually worked out Griffin three times before he signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent back in 2013. Griffin will make the Patriots wish they had him on their depth chart as Rob Gronkowski’s backup instead of the oft-struggling Scott Chandler by posting a stat line of five receptions, 80 yards and the touchdown.

Like always, Belichick will make sure that the Texans’ top weapon is eliminated. Butler, with the assistance of McCourty in the back end, will in fact limit Hopkins’ production. But taking advantage of single coverage by Pat Chung or a linebacker will be Griffin. Fantasy football owners in deep leagues should consider picking up Griffin, as it’s clear the Texans are keen on the UConn product.
