Patriots vs. Texans: 6 Bold Predictions

6. Keshawn Martin will break out against former team
Patriots fans are still getting to know Martin and what he’s all about. Well, he came to the Pats via a trade with the Texans earlier this season. Expect Martin to approach this game with a whole new level of focus and motivation due to the fact that he’s playing against his former teammates.
Over the course of his three seasons in Houston, Martin compiled 38 receptions for 416 yards and three scores. His best year was 2013 when he registered 253 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 22 catches. The Texans were willing to trade Martin back in September because they wanted to field a group of larger wideouts.

After being targeted just once against the Denver Broncos, Martin was a primary option for Tom Brady against the Philadelphia Eagles last week. However, he caught just three of his eight targets for 45 yards. Although Martin struggled to catch the ball on several occasions, look for Brady to continuing throwing his direction as long as Julian Edelman remains sidelined.
A stat line of six receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown will make the Texans wish they had hung on to Martin.
