Although they have a worse record, the Raiders get placed above the Colts because of the 35-point differential Indy suffered on Sunday night. The Raiders are still alive in the playoff hunt, but they won’t be for long if Derek Carr throws a hat trick of picks in any of their remaining games. And the remaining games (at Denver, Green Bay, San Diego and at Kansas City) are not exactly a walk in the park.

What doomed the Raiders in Week 13 was their terrible fourth quarter in which they surrendered 21 of the Chiefs’ 34 point. Former Raiders safety Tyvon Branch’s pick-six occurred in the fourth quarter, hitting the Raiders and their fan base where it really hurts.

If the Raiders find a way to win next week in Denver, they will keep their playoff hopes alive. Otherwise, the goal for Jack Del Rio’s squad will be an 8-8 record.
. AFC West. 5-7. Oakland Raiders. 9. player. 28
