Denver Broncos. 1. player. 45.
Taking the top spot in these AFC power rankings for the second consecutive week, the Broncos continued to position themselves for a run at the No. 1 seed by defeating the Chargers in Week 13. The defense returned to its old ways, suffocating the Chargers. Von Miller contributed two of the unit’s four sacks, and there were also four forced fumbles as well as a Danny Trevathan pick-six.

The Broncos host the grounded Raiders next week before a huge two-game stretch, away in Pittsburgh and back at home against the Bengals in front of a national television audience. Another encounter with the Chargers in Week 17 could be a play-in game for the top seed depending on how Cincy and New England are faring at that point.

It will take a loss for the Broncos to surrender their seat at the top of these AFC power rankings as a result of them beating the Pats in Week 12.
.
