AFC East. 10-2. New England Patriots. 3. player. 47. <p>The turning point in the Patriots’ 35-28 loss to Philly on Sunday was when James White got tripped up right before the goal line on a nice catch-and-run. White fell at the one-yard line or thereabouts, and then the Pats gave the ball right back to him on 1st and goal. But the 195-pound got shoved back four or five yards by the Eagles’ front, and a few plays later Brady committed the pick-six to Malcolm Jenkins.</p> <p>The takeaway here is that the Patriots’ inability to run the ball effectively cost them the game. Forget the special teams errors for a second and realize that the Patriots deviated from the run after early success, throwing the ball far too much. It’s just not a winning formula for Tom Brady to throw the ball 56 times in a game.</p>
