6-5. New York Jets. 8. player. 30.
The Jets crawled out from underneath the .500 rock by putting a pounding on the Dolphins in Week 12. The highlight of the day was easily Chris Ivory’s unreal 31-yard touchdown when he tore through literally half of Miami’s defenders en route to the end zone. Through the air, Ryan Fitzpatrick found Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker a combined 14 times, which translated into 193 yards and three touchdowns. Not too shabby for an offense that ranked among the league’s worst a year ago.

The road ahead for the Jets starts with bragging rights within the New York metropolitan area in matchup against the Giants, and then a few yawn-inducing games against the Titans and Cowboys before a pivotal AFC East encounter with the Patriots. The fifth and sixth seeds are very much within reach for the Jets, even though they’re slotted at No. 8 in this week’s AFC power rankings.
. AFC East
