The New York Giants just do not have the players on defense anymore to slow the New England Patriots offense. While the Giants fans may cling to wins four or eight years ago, the here-and-now shows that the Patriots on offense are the elite unit of the NFL and the Giants have one pass rusher–minus a few fingers–an average group of linebackers, and a mediocre secondary.

The Giants have one legitimate playmaker on offense for quarterback Eli Manning in Odell Beckham Jr. If the Patriots can take Beckham out of the game plan (easier said than done, of course!) then New York just does not have the skill position players at wide receiver, tight end, or running back to exploit this defense.

The only thing that can stop the Patriots passing attack is their own offensive line. If the Patriots get ahead early, it could be a big game for running back LeGarrette Blount again. Look for Brady to pile up the points and passing yards early and let the running game grind it out again the rest of the way in New York.

The Giants may have upset New England in the past. However, this team is not the type of team to threaten the Patriots in their perfect 2015 season. Look for the Patriots to find little resistance on their way to their ninth win of the season.
