2. Patriots playing a winning team

In recent weeks, the Patriots have beaten-up on the Dolphins and Redskins since squeezing by the Jets. It’s important that the Pats get tested a bit before the showdown with the Denver Broncos at the end of the month.

Look, the Giants are a solid team. Getting to 5-4 by mid-November is no easy task. The Patriots will struggle at times in this game, and that’s a good thing.

The Redskins game, while closer than expected, was pretty laughable at points. In the first quarter, there was a moment in which the Pats actually had more touchdowns (2) than the Redskins had offensive plays (1). The Patriots will handle the Giants, but they will be pushed a bit more than they were by the Dolphins and Redskins.

The Giants have the pieces in place to give the Patriots some headaches.
