7. Jonathan Casillas facing former teammates

You may remember that Vereen isn’t the only Super Bowl XLIX champion on the Giants’ roster this year. Jetting over to the big city along with Vereen during free agency was Casillas, and the veteran linebacker is putting together his best year as a pro wearing Giant blue.

Casillas has achieved journeyman status in the NFL, as the Giants are his fourth team since joining the league in 2009. The New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers enjoyed Casillas’ services before he earned a ring in New England.

Casillas already has more tackles (27) through nine games with the Giants than he did last year with the Patriots (21). It should be noted that Casillas was a valuable component in the Patriots’ Super Bowl run, recording a tackle in the Divisional Round and the AFC Championship Game.

Having spent time with the Patriots, Casillas will be eager to collide with his former teammates, such as White. Keep an eye interactions between the Patriots and Casillas throughout the game.
