124. <p>While lounging during their bye week, the Chiefs watched the Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos take shots across the bow. The outcome of the Raiders’ game, in particular, benefits the Chiefs’ chances of regaining ground in the AFC West. Those two teams are the Chiefs’ next two foes in what will be a tough post-bye week road trip for Andy Reid’s puzzling team.</p> <p>One word of advice to the Chiefs: keep running the ball. Charcandrick West has been spectacular in the past two games, accumulating 207 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 42 carries. The Chiefs aren’t bad at running the ball by any means, and Alex Smith has also displayed excellent scrambling ability as of late (his 202 rushing yards rank fifth among quarterbacks).</p>.
