10. Tom Brady having the best season of his career

Let’s get this started off by nodding to the best quarterback of all-time.

It sure looks like Brady is on track to have a career season, as odd as that sounds for a 38-year-old quarterback. The Michigan man is completing 68.9 percent of his passes, which ranks sixth among all starters. He’s thrown for 2,410 yards; only Philip Rivers, who’s played one more game than Brady, has thrown for a greater distance. And then there’s Brady’s impeccable touchdown-to-interception ratio of 20:1. Brady has thrown fewer interceptions than any other starter, and if you remember, that one pick was a result of Julian Edelman’s butterfingers against the Indianapolis Colts.

Above all, Brady sports a mean 115.8 quarterback rating, tops in the league. Brady reached 117.2 in 2007 and 111.0 in 2010, and he was the NFL MVP in both of those seasons. In other words, Brady is on track to match his production in those dream seasons, which should put him at the forefront of MVP conversations until he gives us a reason to think otherwise.

In addition, Brady is moving in and out of the pocket better than he ever has in his career. Evidently, the strict training and eating regiment that he’s following is paying off.
