2. Scott Chandler will have bigger game than Gronk

One thing was very clear against the Colts: Brady wants to get Chandler involved especially in the red zone. Josh McDaniels is fully aware that an offense operating with two mammoth tight ends (Chandler actually stands an inch above the 6-foot-6 Rob Gronkowski) will be close to unstoppable. This home game against the Jets will be Chandler’s coming-out party in New England.

Chandler will post a more substantial stat line than Gronk because the Jets will find a way to limit the best tight end in the league, at least to some degree. By allocating a bunch of resources toward slowing down Gronkowski, the Jets will leave Chandler in a matchup with a linebacker in coverage, and that is something that Brady will exploit.

Chandler nearly registered his first touchdown since Week 1 against the Colts, but his catch was called back due to offensive pass interference. Look for the former Bills’ tight end to make amends this week.

One-day fantasy football players should consider throwing Chandler into their lineup as a low-cost option. In addition, savvy league players facing touch bye-week decisions will think about starting Chandler.
