The Chargers really had to win on Sunday, or else they would be listed near the very bottom of these AFC power rankings. Philip Rivers shook off whatever demons were hindering him against the Vikings, tossing for 358 yards and three touchdowns against the Browns. The balance provided by Danny Woodhead was another reason why the Chargers were able to even-out to 2-2 on the year.

Give credit to former MLS goalkeeper Josh Lambo for drilling the game-winner after the Browns jumped offsides. Lambo is quickly becoming one of the NFL’s best kickers in a season that has been brutal for many veteran boots (cough Josh Scobee cough).

Speaking of Scobee, the Chargers face the now-free agent’s former team in Week 5. Although Ben Roethlisberger won’t be playing, it will be a good test for the Chargers’ defense to play against the Steelers’ plethora of offensive weapons.
. AFC West. 1-3. San Diego Chargers. 8. player. 13
